The return to the routine of the LPL
The LPL will start again next Saturday, January 9 with a Top Esports against Suning . The current champions of the competition will face at 10:00 against the runners-up of the last Worlds . Once the first best-of-three series is over, OMG and EDward Gaming will meet at 12:00 (unless the previous match ends later) to close the first day of Chinese League of Legends.
The next day, January 10, it will be Team WE’s turn against the Rogue Warriors at 10:00, as usual in the league. Later the first week will close with a great match between JD Gaming and Invictus Gaming , Spring Split champions of 2020 and 2019 respectively. Although the start will last only two days, the LPL will return to normal in the second week of competition.
Starting Monday, January 11, LPL fans will be able to enjoy seven consecutive days of Chinese League of Legends. The debut of Royal Never Give Up will be on the same Monday at 12:00 against TT, while that of FunPlus Phoenix with Jang Ha-gwon ” Nuguri ” will be on Tuesday 12 against OMG . Precisely FunPlus will be starring in one of the best games of the week, as played on Saturday January 16 against Edward Gaming at 12:00.
As usual in recent seasons, the 2021 LPL Spring Split will feature 17 participating teams. None of them will be relegated as the Chinese competition is a franchise system, but only the top eight finishers will be able to make the playoffs and, therefore, fight for the champion title.
