With the recent Rocket League Season 2 update focusing on Gridiron mode for American football’s Super Bowl, Psyonix’s hit party game has seen the introduction of a major bug that is making life impossible for split-screen co-op fans. .
As confirmed by the many users who are bombarding the Epic Games subsidiary with questions on social networks and on forums such as Reddit, the bug in question forces the immediate disconnection of your team from the online matches played in the Competitive arenas . The problem, reported by fans who play Rocket League in a local shared-screen cooperative , emerges with the “Error 42” message linked to the connection.
For the moment, the only solution suggested by the community to overcome this bug appears to be to not engage in Competitive matches and to select only Random challenges in the matchmaking system.
Through their official support channels, the Psyonix guys report that they are aware of this serious malfunction and have started the development of a hotfix that can solve as soon as possible the problem that forces the disconnection from the Competitive multiplayer races of the teams composed of two or three players in split-screen.
The Californian software house, however, prefers not to provide further information on the times required to close the flaw encountered by Rocket League players who have fun in shared-screen cooperative.
