NEIL DRUCKMANN: THE LAST OF US AUTHOR REVEALS 5 GAMES THAT INSPIRE HIM IN HIS WORK

Taking part in a nice initiative that is taking hold on Twitter and that is involving more and more personalities of the videogame industry, Neil Druckmann , co-president of Naughty Dog , has unveiled five titles that are inspired in particular in his work as a creative .

Certainly there will be dozens and dozens of games that have contributed to Druckmann’s formation over the years, but the author of The Last of Us and Uncharted 4 wanted to specify in particular five games that have marked him in particular in his growth:

  • Ico
  • Resident Evil 4
  • The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
  • Bioshock
  • Castlevania: Symphony of the Night

A list of titles that, in short, have all left their mark on the videogame scene, and that surprisingly range from one genre to another: in fact, we start from a contemplative game and rarefied atmospheres like Ico to a horror-colored action game like Resident Evil 4, passing through an action role like Zelda: Ocarina of Time, up to an immersive first-person sim like Bioshock and the metroidvania par excellence, Symphony of the Night. What do you think of this list? Do you find any of these influences within the Naughty Dog titles?

In recent weeks, Druckmann had instead enjoyed listing five IPs of which the author would like to create a new video game .
