League of Legends client: Riot Games plans for 2020

One of the complaints that have been read and heard the most by the League of Legends community has to do with the game client and the ‘bad’ optimization of the game.

Since the  better nerf Irelia had not seen so many complaints going in the same direction, and that is that, although it seems silly, the game client needs an update.

Not because of the visual aspect, in which Riot Games worked and took care of the smallest detail, but because of the startup and performance problems it has. And it seems that in 2020 the matter can be settled.

Through a statement on the official League of Legends blog , Riot Games explained that, during the next 6 months, they will try to implement changes to improve the client’s infrastructure.

Priority Goals for Riot Games and the League of Legends Client

The issues that Riot Games prioritizes are, in short, boot time (client startup) and hang time in champion select. Something that, to many summoners, drives them crazy.

Riot Games is completely transparent with the client, as they are not afraid to claim that they have made mistakes by implementing certain animations or  plugins that hinder maximum performance.

So what is Riot Games going to try to fix?

It is not good news, it is very good. But keep in mind that touching the League of Legends client is an arduous task , and it will take patience to see the changes take effect, but the transparency and information is appreciated.
