There was no shortage of surprises during The Game Awards , not so much in terms of awards (for better or worse, everyone expected the triumph of The Last of Us Part 2 in more than one category), but in terms of announcements. Between Sephiroth joining the full-bodied Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster and a first teaser trailer of the new Mass Effect, during the event there was also space for Fortnite , the hugely popular battle royale of Epic Games. Through two trailers, the software house has revealed to fans two brand new collaborations: one with The Walking Dead and one with Halo.
Daryl and Michonne arrive on the island of Fortnite
Fortnite with God of War, the Kratos skin arrives in the Battle Royale
The second trailer shown during The Game Awards is about a collaboration with Halo. In fact, in the Fortnite store, it is already possible to buy a series of items dedicated to the well-known Microsoft series, individually or in a bundle sold for about 2,000 V-Bucks, including the Master Chief skin , a collection tool, a emote, a hang glider and a decorative back. Another Halo-themed novelty concerns the Creative mode, in which in the coming days the possibility to play within the map created by Atlas Creative will be introduced, which will re-propose the classic “Capture the flag”, well known to fans of the series created by Bungie and carried forward in its latest incarnations by 343 Industries.
