Electronic Arts has returned to talk about Battlefield during its latest financial report, confirming that the new chapter of the shooter series developed by DICE is arriving at the end of 2021 , with presentation scheduled for next spring.
Although the name is currently only unofficial, it seems that DICE is working on Battlefield 6 , and not the much-desired sequel to the Bad Company sub-series, still praised far and wide by fans of the franchise. Precisely because it is aware of the affection that players have for the name, it seems that Electronic Arts is considering with extreme caution if and when to bring Bad Company back on the scene . This is in fact what stated by the well-known insider Jeff Grubb:
“This is not Bad Company 3, at least from what I heard last time. Also, they stopped any kind of work on Bad Company 1/2 remasters once Vince Zampella moved into DICE because they want to be very cautious for when they play the Bad Company card if / when it comes back “ . Obviously, this is information not confirmed by EA, and we recommend that you take the news with a grain of salt as always in these cases.
For the moment, in short, we just have to wait for the presentation of Battlefield 6, which according to some rumors will represent a sort of reboot inspired by Battlefield 3 , one of the most successful chapters of the numbered series of the war shooter.
It's not Bad Company 3 — atleast last time I heard. Also, they pulled back on any work on Bad Company 1/2 remasters once Vince Zampella moved up over DICE because they want to be very careful when they burn the Bad Company card and how they position it if/when it returns. https://t.co/8AcL6RUoSI
